Appointments to see a drug and alcohol worker can be made via local Intake and Assessment treatment services (listed above) for support which may include counselling, care coordination, case management, post withdrawal support, family services and referral to residential withdrawal services.
Patients can contact treatment services directly. Alternatively, GPs can refer patients via online referral forms (only applicable to some service providers – see listed websites for further details).
These services are funded by the State and Federal governments and are at no or low cost to patients.
